Our mascot, Arnold, keeping up to date on the latest news.
BRAND-NEW: QB BLOG | As a performing quartet we are used to presenting ourselves and our work on stage - in the rehearsal hall - at the afterparty - but there is not always space to talk about or express the more day-to-day, personal side of things: the "pro tips", the thoughts about parenting and touring, bi- and tri-lingualism, reflection and introspection on
our place in the world... So in a time when we are gathering less frequently in those usual spaces (and becoming more and more tech-savvy), we decided to create our own platform to stay connected with you, our public. It is with great anticipation that today we launch the brand-new QB BLOG!
Go to quatuorbozzini.ca/blogue to find spontaneous, unedited entries from each member of the quartet, and be sure to reach out here or on social media to let us know what you think!
UPCOMING CONCERTS | Over the past few months, we have worked closely with Le Vivier, Tours de Bras (Rimouski), E27-musiques nouvelles et avatar (Québec), L'Agora de la danse, the Conseil des Arts de Montréal en tournée and the Salle Bourgie at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts to prepare several intimate concerts respecting the current health and safety measures. We sincerely hope to be able to (re)share these moments with you soon in a common space... The current situation still requires many
sacrifices and solidarity. Rest assured that we will spare no effort to maintain communication and seek ways to offer you fantastic music in the coming months, at least online and disc!
In celebration of our twentieth season, TRIP (November 11) is a retrospective featuring the work of composers who are
dear to us, and who have written music specifically for the quartet through the years. With Quatuorama on November 22*, the Quatuor Bozzini invites the public to embark on a musical adventure discovering the genre of the string quartet; the eclectic and varied program promises enjoyment for all. On November 23 we will join forces with GGRIL, sharing soaring new works and dazzling improvisations to produce an event full of colour. On November 29 and December 1 at Imaginaire Nord you will have two opportunities to hear and see where music and visual art collide, namely through two works inspired by Riopelle's paintings - including a new piece by our very own violinist/composer Alissa Cheung. We hope to see you there!
